Description

Trick Shot Development was founded in 2018 by James and Michael; two game designers eager to make their mark in the Australian games industry! Our mission is to create new and exciting experiences inspired by classic arcade roots but leveraging modern platforms and systems. We are a small and fast studio that is constantly looking at how they can find new ways for people to play games they love.

History

Early history

Michael and James have been making games together for years. Beginning with the retro arcade shooter Astro Attack, the pair loved to work on fun, accessible and unique gaming experiences. With a strong passion for creating exciting worlds and intuitive controls, they went on to form Trick Shot Development. With a combined experience of over 10 years and over 10 titles under their belts, the two have worked on other titles such as Astro Attack, Faily Brakes, and Faily Tumbler.

After that

Trick Shot Development received government funding to develop Sky Squadron with the support from Screen Queensland. Trick Shot has been in operation for over a year, and employed the talents of many local game developers. Our latest title "Sky Squadron VR" is our first venture into the Virtual Reality space. Leveraging our unique experience in getting games running on even the mushiest of potatoes, we're currently bringing our Star-fox influenced rail shooter to both desktop and mobile VR platforms.
